MANILA, Philippines — The southwest monsoon or habagat is expected to weaken in the next three days and will bring fair weather in most parts of the country, the state weather bureau said yesterday.

No low-pressure area was forecast to develop at least until Thursday as Super Typhoon Henry moves farther away from Northern Luzon.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said chances of localized thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening still remain.

Henry left the Philippine area of responsibility on Sunday morning after leaving one person dead in Ilocos region and displacing thousands of families.
