Ed Amoroso - The Philippine Star

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — The newly designated Cavite police director assumed the post yesterday morning.

Col. Christopher Olazo replaced Lt. Col. Sherwin Maglana, who served as officer-in-charge of the provincial police for several months.

Maglana is also the deputy director for administration of the Cavite police.

Before assuming the post, Olazo was chief of the Quezon City police’s mobile force division.

The turnover, led by acting Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon) police director Brig. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez and Gov. Jonvic Victor Remulla, was held at Camp Brig. Gen. Pantaleon Garcia in Imus.

Olazo had served as chief of police of Bacoor, Silang and Alfonso in Cavite, and Tanauan in Batangas.
