MANILA, Philippines — Days after technical glitches hit the Land Transportation Office’s public transaction portal, the information technology (IT) system of the agency stabilized over the weekend, the LTO said.
The LTO said its IT system had been fixed, but the root of the technical problems that caused delays in the processing of transactions of hundreds of clients has yet to be determined.
“The LTO wants to inform the public that transactions done using the IT system will slowly return to normal speed after experiencing delays in the past days,” the agency said.
“However, we’re still trying to discover the cause of the technical problems that delayed the processing of transactions such as renewal of vehicle registration and driver’s licenses,” the LTO added.
Last week, complaints from people transacting with the LTO mounted after its application portals crashed.
The transport agency apologized for the delays and assured the public that similar problems would not happen again.
