Mandaluyong sets up vax sites in 3 schools
MANILA, Philippines — The Mandaluyong City government has established vaccination sites in three schools following the resumption of face-to-face classes.
Mayor Benjamin Abalos said the vaccination sites at Rizal Technological University, Andres Bonifacio Integrated School and Isaac Lopez Integrated School started operating yesterday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Students who wished to get vaccinated against COVID-19, with the consent of their parents, were accommodated, he said.
Abalos added more vaccination sites will be set up in other schools in the following days.
“We know that getting vaccinated is crucial for our children who will attend face-to-face classes. We want them to be protected. And of course we are reminding all our students to continue to practice the minimum health protocols even if they are vaccinated,” he said.
