Baguio temperature dips to 16°C

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — Residents and visitors in Baguio experienced the December chill early after the city’s temperature dropped to 16 degrees Celsius yesterday morning.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the 16 degrees Celsius temperature was recorded at around 4:30 a.m.

The cold weather was exacerbated by drizzles, PAGASA said.

Records showed the coldest temperature ever recorded in Baguio was on Jan. 16, 1961 at 6.3 degrees Celsius.
