PPCRV names new chairperson

MANILA, Philippines — The Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting yesterday announced the designation of Evelyn Singson as chairperson of the PPCRV.

Singson replaced Myla Villanueva, who stepped down as PPCRV head last month.

In a statement, the poll watchdog said Singson has outlined programs for the PPCRV for the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections set on Dec. 5.

Singson said they would implement programs in educating voters.

“We will focus on two main aspects: strengthening the PPCRV’s technical group in monitoring the integrity of the voting machines and keeping the automated election system protected,” she said.
