GenSan 3-vehicle smashup: 7 dead

MANILA, Philippines — Seven persons died and and six others were injured in a collision of three vehicles in General Santos City yesterday.

Maj. Rissa Hernaez, city police spokesperson, said the names of the fatalities were not immediately available.

The injured were taken to a hospital for treatment.

Hernaez said the accident occurred along the highway in Barangay Batomelong at around 3:15 p.m.

Initial investigation showed a commuter van veered in the opposite lane when its rear left tire exploded and crashed into an Isuzu wing van truck.

The van also hit a Ford Ranger Raptor.
