5 drug suspects nabbed in Quezon City

MANILA, Philippines — At least P360,400 worth of shabu was confiscated from five suspects in Quezon City yesterday.

Three of the suspects were arrested in a drug sting in Barangay Dona Imelda at around 1 a.m., according to Quezon City Police District director Brig. Gen. Remus Medina.

Sarip Enip, 27; Bainot Watamama, 24, and Aisa Watamama, 20, allegedly yielded 45 grams of shabu valued at P306,000, a cell phone and the marked money.

An anti-narcotics operation in Barangay Kaligayahan led to the arrest of two more drug suspects.

Adrian Manzano, 37, and Cesar Manzano, 22, allegedly negotiated a drug deal with a policeman who posed as a buyer.

Police said they recovered from the suspects eight grams of shabu worth P54,400 and a cell phone.
