Glitch limits LRT-2 trips

MANILA, Philippines — Operations of the Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2) were disrupted yesterday morning due to a technical glitch.
The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA), which operates the LRT-2, had to limit train trips after an overhead catenary cable between the Legarda and Pureza stations was cut off.
The LRTA implemented provisional service at around 8 a.m.
The rail management said it suspended train trips before 10 a.m. to give way for “a multipurpose vehicle that was used to fix the catenary wire.”
Commuters took to social media to complain about the inconvenience brought by the LRT-2 breakdown.
