Emmanuel Tupas - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Five farmers were found dead with gunshot wounds in Doña Remedios Trinidad in Bulacan on Monday.

The bodies of Pampilo Bonaga, 55; Carlito Servano, 48; Antonio Servano, 45; Angelo del Castillo, 33, and Pola Servano were found along Resigurado street in Barangay Camachile at around 10:30 a.m., according to a police report.

A resident, who discovered the bodies of the victims, sought police assistance.

The cadavers were brought to a funeral parlor for autopsy.

Police are searching for leads to identify the assailants.

In an interview over ABS-CBN’s Teleradyo yesterday, two women who are relatives of the victims said they are clueless on the motive for the killing.

”Hanggang ngayon blangko pa rin kami. Nagtatrabaho lang ang mga ’yan,” one of the women said.

The other woman said the victims could have also been tortured, citing bruises in their body.

The women were not identified for their protection.
