Aide dies in fall from Palace building

MANILA, Philippines — A Palace employee “died from an apparent fall” from the fourth floor of the Mabini Hall in the Malacañang compound yesterday, an official said.

Mario Castro, an administrative aide assigned to the information and communications technology office under the deputy executive secretary for finance and accounting, “left behind his wife and children. We condole with his family,” Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles said in a press briefing.
