MANILA, Philippines — Two rival gangs threw bottles at each other along España Boulevard in Manila yesterday.
A report by dzMM showed children in conflict with the law in a fight at past 4:30 a.m.
The fight caused shards of glass to be scattered along the road. A barangay peacekeeper interviewed by dzMM said gang fights often occur at night when police are not around.
Manila Police District-Sampaloc station commander Lt. Col. Cristito Acohon reminded the children’s parents to guard the minors against going outside at night.
Parents may also be held liable for being negligent, he added.
No one was hurt in the incident, Acohon said.
