MANILA, Philippines — The Manila city government has launched its 120-day feeding program for undernourished children as part of the celebration of Nutrition Month.

In a Facebook post yesterday, Mayor Honey Lacuna said the feeding program was launched in Pandacan on Monday.

The dietary supplementation program seeks to help pregnant women and children up to Grade 6.

They will be provided with nutritious food and vitamins to keep them healthy, Lacuna, who is a doctor, said.

Meanwhile, Lacuna received foreign dignitaries during a courtesy call at city hall yesterday.

She met with Chinese Ambassador Huang Xilian and Ambassador of Ireland William Carlos.
