MANILA, Philippines — Fifteen kilos of shabu with an estimated street value of P102 million were reportedly seized in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu over the weekend.

The anti-drug operation in Barangay Pusok resulted in the arrest of Gracy Juntilla, authorities said.

Juntilla reportedly yielded 15 tea bags believed to contain shabu.

The sting was conducted by personnel of the Lapu-Lapu City police, the Naval Forces Central, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Central Visayas police.

The arresting team described the result of its operation as “the biggest haul carried for the week.”

Charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against Juntilla.

On the same day, authorities seized shabu with an estimated street value of P1.2 million in separate anti-narcotics operations in Tagbilaran, Bohol and Talisay City, Cebu.

Nena Colis and Hermogenes Hitgano were arrested during a sting in Barangay Dao, Tagbilaran.

Police said they seized from the suspects illegal drugs worth P544,000.

Meanwhile, personnel of the Talisay City police station arrested Ariel Suson and Janine May Torres following a sting in Barangay Lagtang.

Police said they seized from the suspects shabu with an estimated street value of P680,000.

In Cagayan de Oro, three drug suspects were arrested for alleged possession and sale of shabu with an estimated street value of P1 million.

Alejandro Yañez, Cerch Carcosa and Jonalyn Nafarrete were arrested shortly before noon yesterday in Cagayan de Oro City, according to Lt. Neil Payos, chief of the regional police Drug Enforcement Unit.

Police said the suspects sold an undetermined amount of shabu to an undercover agent in Barangay Canitoan.

Responding police officers arrested the suspects and seized 14 plastic sachets said to contain shabu weighing 150 grams.

The suspects were detained at the Maharlika detention facility.
