Retired judge found dead

MANILA, Philippines — A retired judge was found dead at his residence in Barangay Manga in Pagadian, Zamboanga del Sur on Monday.

Police said Ruben Bance, 63, was found with a gunshot wound in the chest.

Bance’s helper told probers he heard a gunshot from the room of the victim at around 8:06 a.m.

Investigators recovered a .38-caliber revolver beside the body of the victim.

Probers said Bance could have committed suicide.
