Malaysian kidnapped in Pasay, rescued in Cavite
CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — A Malaysian man allegedly kidnapped by four men in Pasay was rescued by a police tracker team in Tagaytay, Cavite on Sunday.
Cheong Hock Nian, an employee of a Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator or POGO, was found hogtied in the toilet of an apartment in Barangay Sungay East, where he was taken by the kidnappers, according to Lt. Col. Norman Rañon, chief of the Tagaytay City police.
Nian was able to ask help from a resident who was passing by the area.
The tracker team brought Nian to the Ospital ng Tagaytay for medical checkup.
Rañon said Nian told probers that three of the four men who seized him looked like Chinese.
Nian said the suspects seized him from the Solaire Casino in Pasay and dragged him into a waiting van.
Rañon withheld the identities of the suspects so as not to compromise police operations.
