Fire hits chemical warehouse in Pasig

MANILA, Philippines — A fire razed a warehouse storing paint and other chemicals in Pasig City yesterday, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said.

In a report, the BFP said the fire broke out at the warehouse located along F. Mariano street in Barangay Dela Paz at around 11 a.m. and reached third alarm at 11:17 a.m.

Nineteen firetrucks responded to the site.

Firefighters contained the blaze at past 1:30 p.m. No one was reported injured during the incident.

The fire did not spread to nearby houses and buildings due to the facility’s firewall, the BFP said.

Arson investigators said they have yet to determine the cause of the fire.
