Duterte sets aside Makati lots for IT centers
MANILA, Philippines — President Duterte has signed proclamations designating parcels of land in Makati City for information technology centers.
The proclamations were issued last June 13, documents released by Malacañang showed.
Proclamation No. 1391 reserved a building and parcel of land located along 1 Theater Drive, Circuit in Barangay Carmona in Makati as an information technology center to be known as Circuit Corporate Center 1. The area covers 2,924 square meters.
Proclamation No. 1392 created and designated a building and parcel of land located along 3 Theater Drive, Circuit in Barangay Carmona as an information technology center to be known as Circuit Corporate Center 2. The center will cover an area of 3,572 square meters.
The proclamations are in line with the Special Economic Zone Act of 1995, which establishes the legal framework and mechanisms for the integration, coordination, planning and monitoring of special economic zones, industrial estates and parks, export processing zones and other economic zones.
