MANILA, Philippines — A 21-year-old woman was gunned down in Quezon City on Friday.
Angieneth Ferrer and her sister were walking along a street in Barangay Old Balara when the shooting happened at around 8 p.m.
Probers said the sisters were about to collect an outstanding debt from a certain Justine when they encountered the suspects, John Kenneth Pagobo and Dangjo Francisco.
Without provocation, Francisco approached Ferrer, pulled out a handgun of unknown caliber and shot her repeatedly.
Ferrer fell to the pavement and died at the scene. Her sister ran for help from barangay officials.
Police arrested Pagobo in a follow-up operation in Old Balara while Francisco remains at large.
According to the police, six sachets of an undetermined quantity of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu were recovered from the victim’s underwear.
Police have yet to determine the motive behind the shooting.
