Bong Go aids Tarlac residents

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Bong Go visited Tarlac City on Wednesday to meet and provide assistance to thousands of residents who have been struggling due to the adverse impact of the COVID pandemic.

The activities were held at Kaisa convention hall, where the senator was present, and Tibag evacuation center, where Go made a live video call for the beneficiaries.

Go and his team provided meals, grocery packs, vitamins, face masks and t-shirts to 3,000 residents.

The senator also gave phablets, watches and shoes to select individuals.

To encourage the youth to avoid vices and engage in sports activities, Go, chairman of the Senate committee on sports, gave away bicycles and balls for volleyball and basketball.

One of the beneficiaries approached the senator during the event and asked assistance to send her son to a drug rehabilitation center.

Go appealed to the public to continue supporting President Duterte’s campaign against illegal drugs and criminality.

He asked the next administration to sustain and further improve the fight against illegal drugs.
