MANILA, Philippines — Over 3,000 wanted people have been apprehended in Metro Manila since March, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) reported yesterday.
NCRPO chief Maj. Gen. Felipe Natividad said of the 3,854 arrested fugitives, 32 were wanted on a region-wide level.
Most of the region’s most wanted were arrested in northern Metro Manila with 21 followed by southern Metro and Quezon City with four each, eastern Metro with two and Manila with one.
Natividad attributed the arrests to the NCRPO’s intensified intelligence gathering and inter-agency cooperation to crack down on wanted persons.
“The intensified manhunt operations by the different police districts is worthy of commendation,” Natividad said.
