Metro Manila’s 5th most wanted drug suspect caught
MANILA, Philippines — The fifth most wanted drug suspect in Metro Manila was arrested in Pasig City on Friday while reportedly carrying P1.02 million worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu.
Mobina Baluno, 29, was arrested during a sting in Barangay Pinagbuhatan at around 5 p.m., according to Pasig police chief Col. Roman Arugay.
Baluno negotiated a deal with an undercover police officer for P9,000 worth of shabu to an undercover police officer, Arugay said.
Lawmen seized around 150 grams of shabu from the suspect, who is being held on charges of drug trafficking.
Arugay said Baluno, a resident of Taguig City, is ranked fifth in the list of the National Capital Region Police Office’s priority database on illegal drugs.
Meanwhile, two drug suspects were arrested in Las Pinas City at midnight yesterday.
Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg said Randy Tianan, 41, and his brother, Mark Anthony, 24, were arrested in a drug bust in Barangay Talon Uno.
Police seized 16.6 grams of shabu valued at P112,880 from the brothers.
