Tawi-Tawi drug bust: Suspect slain, P3.7 million shabu seized

CAMP SK PENDATUN, Maguindanao, Philippines — Shabu worth  P3.7 million and assorted guns were seized from a drug suspect killed in an alleged shootout with anti-narcotics agents in Barangay Bohe Tana in Bongao, Tawi-Tawi on Monday.

Brig. Gen. Arthur Cabaluna, Bangsamoro Autonomous Region police director, said the fatality, Abdurahim Jainal, was a major drug dealer in the province.

Police said two .45-caliber pistols, a 9mm, a 5.56 M16 rifle and a fragmentation grenade were recovered from the fatality.

In Pampanga, Central Luzon police director Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay said shabu worth P2.07 million was seized from Julius Guillermo, who was arrested in Barangay Mawaque in Mabalacat. – Ric Sapnu, Emmanuel Tupas
