CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines — Four suspected robbers were arrested in separate police operations in Bacolor and San Simon, both in Pampanga, on Saturday.
The arrests were based on a complaint filed by Jenalyn Sarmiento, who told police that she was robbed at gunpoint in Guagua on Friday night, according to Central Luzon police director Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay.
Police identified the suspects as Mark Areston, Dino Drilon, Reynaldo Mendoza and Rodrigo Olimpo.
Personnel of the Guagua police, Pampanga Mobile Force Company and Criminal Investigation Detection Unit-3 launched a manhunt for the suspects.
Olimpo and Drilon were collared in Barangay San Pablo in San Simon town, and Areston and Mendoza in Barangay Tinejero, Bacolor.
Seized from the suspects were four handguns, a grenade, motorcycle, cash money and the victim’s jewelry worth P635,000.
