MANILA, Philippines — A former town vice mayor of Sulu who is wanted for murder was arrested in Pasig City on Thursday.
Alrasdy Sarapuddin, ex-vice mayor of the island town of Pata, was arrested by San Juan City policemen at the Medical City at around 4:35 p.m., San Juan police chief Col. Elpido Ramirez said in a text message.
Sarapuddin, the fourth most wanted person of the Jolo municipal police station, is the subject of an arrest warrant issued by Jude Grace Tillah-Alasco of the Regional Trial Court Branch 3 in Jolo.
Ramirez did not give other details on Sarapuddin’s murder case. The suspect is detained at the police station’s custodial facility.
