Bong Go aids Quezon City fire victims
MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Christopher “Bong” Go on Wednesday distributed relief assistance to families whose houses were destroyed by a fire in Barangay Baesa on April 10.
Go sympathized with the fire victims and vowed to help them recover from the incident.
The senator and his team distributed grocery packs, shirts, meals, vitamins and face masks to 70 families or 236 individuals at the Manotoc covered court.
They also provided bicycles, cell phones, shoes, basketballs, volleyballs, shirts and medicines to select beneficiaries.
Representatives from the Department of Social Welfare and Development also extended cash assistance to the families to help them rebuild their homes.
The Department of Health also distributed medicines and additional vitamins to the affected residents. The Department of Agriculture provided vegetables, canned goods as well as meat packs under its agribusiness program “Kadiwa Negosyo.”
The Department of Trade and Industry and National Housing Authority assessed those eligible for livelihood and housing programs, respectively.
