MANILA, Philippines — Three kilos of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu with an estimated street value of P20.4 million were seized from two persons in Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija on Wednesday.
Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay, Central Luzon police director, said Sittie Pindatu, 30, and No-an Bilal, 26, were apprehended in a sting in Barangay Sumacab Este at around 4:30 p.m.
Police said two cellular phones and marked money were also recovered from the suspects.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Central Luzon office said the suspects were among the major distributors of shabu in Bulacan, Nueva Ecija and Metro Manila.
In Bulacan, police said shabu valued at P400,000 was recovered from Luthgrad Abesamis, 39; Ferdie Sultan, 47, and Erwin Joson, 40, in Barangay Paltao, in Pulilan.
A caliber .38 revolver and marked money were also reportedly seized from the suspects.
