MANILA, Philippines — Police have arrested a man who allegedly killed his girlfriend, a public school teacher, and a 72-year-old Japanese man in Pasig.

Anna Marie Dalusong, 39, and Yasunori Mori were found with multiple stab wounds at their house in Barangay Manggahan on Monday night.

The victims were declared dead on arrival at the Pasig City General Hospital, police said.

Mori is the husband of Dalusong’s aunt, according to Eastern Police District chief Brig. Gen. Orlando Yebra.

Based on CCTV footage, Christian Llona, reportedly the boyfriend of Dalusong, was seen coming out of the house carrying a black backpack and a 32-inch flat screen television.

Capt. Noel Moskito, who led the police forensic unit that investigated the incident, said the victims suffered stab wounds in different parts of the body.

Prior to this, police said a loud noise was heard from the second floor of the house where the victims were found.

Llona was arrested during a follow-up operation. He told investigators that he acted in self-defense after the Japanese attacked him.

“The suspect admitted that he accidentally killed the Japanese,” Pasig police chief Col. Roman Arugay said.

Llona is being held by police on charges of two counts of murder and theft.
