MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police Firearms and Explosives Office (FEO) is eyeing to revoke the permit to carry firearms issued to the son of Deputy Speaker and Negros Oriental Rep. Arnolfo Teves Jr. after he was caught on video beating up a security guard at BF Homes Parañaque, an official said yesterday.

FEO director Brig. Gen. Alden Delvo said they are coordinating with the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) and the Las Piñas police, which are looking into the case of Kurt Mathew Teves.

“We will weigh the results of the probe for the probability of revoking his firearms license,” Delvo said at a press briefing.

Based on FEO records, Delvo said Teves has a license to own and possess firearms.

Teves was captured on video punching and kicking security guard Jomar Pajares.

Pajares said he did not allow Teves to enter the subdivision because his car does not have a BF Federation of Homeowners Associations Inc. resident sticker.

Meanwhile, Sen. Manny Pacquiao said Monday that he was considering providing assistance to Pajares.

The elder Teves is a partymate of Pacquiao, who is running for president. Pacquiao said he would leave it up to the congressman to discipline the son.
