Trader slain in Batangas town

BATANGAS, Philippines — A businessman was shot dead in Ibaan town in this province on Wednesday.

Peterson Co, 49, a resident of Barangay Bolbok in Batangas City and owner of Society Glass Inc., was inspecting a construction site in Barangay Coliat when he was shot by unidentified motorcycle-riding men, Senior M/Sgt. Ryan Pagcaliwanggan said.

Members of the Scene of the Crime Operatives recovered six bullet shells at the scene.

Probers have yet to determine the motive for the killing.
