Ed Amoroso - The Philippine Star

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines —  Motorcyle-riding men shot dead a businesswoman in Taytay, Rizal on Thursday.

Lt. Col. Francisco Tanisan, Taytay police chief, said Lanie Ayo, 29, was driving her black Honda City (UPI-255) on her way home when she was shot along Melendres creek in Barangay Dolores at around 11:12 a.m.

Although wounded, Tamisan said the victim tried to escape, but her car crashed into a gutter.

Tanisan said probers have ruled out robbery as the motive as the personal belongings and money of the victim were intact.
