MANILA, Philippines — The Marikina government on Tuesday started its on-site registration and vaccination against rabies of dogs and cats in the city.
The activity, which will last until March 24, is in line with Rabies Awareness Month.
The city government urged dog and cat owners to register their pets for vaccination during this period at the venues approved by the city veterinary office.
Mayor Marcelino Teodoro waived the P75 registration fee due to ease the burden on residents, who are still reeling from the financial crisis brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The registration and vaccination sites are located in different barangays in the city.
