2 dead in Cavite market fire

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — Two persons died in a fire at a public market in Barangay Manggahan, in General Trias, Cavite on Monday night.

Police said Rohayni and Raodina Abdullah, both surnamed Lumodag, were sleeping in their store when the fire broke out at Genstar Market.

Probers said the two died from suffocation and suffered burns in various parts of their body.

The fire reportedly started at the Berlian Music Lounge & KTV at around 6 p.m.  It was declared out at around 8:32 p.m.
