MANILA, Philippines — Ferdinand Alexander “Sandro” Marcos has thanked his uncle House Majority Leader and Leyte Rep. Martin Romualdez for mentoring him and helping him prepare for a possible full-time job as a member of the incoming 19th Congress.
Sandro, son of UniTeam presidential candidate Ferdinand Marcos Jr., acknowledged Romualdez’s guidance and the training that he acquired from the House leader as a member of his staff at the House of Representatives for two years.
Sandro conveyed his appreciation to Romualdez for immersing him into the legislative processes during his birthday celebration on March 8.
Romualdez, in turn, said Sandro is highly qualified and fit for the job.
“Sandro Marcos is very much qualified and ready for the congressional job that he is aiming for,” Romualdez, a cousin of Sandro’s father, said. “I should know because he spent two years working in my office doing his congressional training, with no less than myself supervising and overseeing him.”
Sandro, who obtained his master’s degree in Development Studies at the London School of Economics and Political Science, is running for congressman in the first district of Ilocos Norte.
