‘Poblacion Girl’ case up for resolution
MANILA, Philippines — The quarantine breach complaint against Gwyneth Anne Chua, also known as “Poblacion Girl,” and eight other respondents is now up for resolution by the Makati prosecutor’s office.
An insider who spoke on condition of anonymity said the city prosecutor’s office concluded on Monday its preliminary investigation on the charges filed by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group against Chua for allegedly violating quarantine protocols at the Berjaya Makati Hotel last December by leaving the hotel and having dinner and partying at two establishments.
Senior Assistant Prosecutor Maria Corazon Molina informed the parties to wait for the resolution of the case, the source said.
According to the insider, Chua and her parents submitted their supplemental counter-affidavits.
Chua, her parents, her boyfriend and five employees of the Berjaya Hotel are facing charges for violating Republic Act 11332 or the Mandatory Reporting on Notifiable Diseases and Health Events of Public Health Concern Act.
