MANILA, Philippines — The city government of San Juan launched yesterday drive-through COVID-19 booster vaccination sites that would accommodate residents and non-residents.

The main sites are located at the city hall parking area and the Makabagong San Juan Plaza on N. Domingo street while five satellite sites for booster shots will be set up at the Greenhills mall, Santolan town plaza and the Agora market.

Greenhills mall will host three of the satellite sites: the second floor of Connecticut parking, the fountain area and the entrance of Virra Mall near the chapel.

Mayor Francis Zamora, who led the launch, said those interested in getting booster shots only need to present their vaccine card showing that their second dose was administered more than three months ago.

“No need to register. You must also be 18 years old and above,” he said, adding that booster shots at the main sites will be made available on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. while the satellite sites will be open every day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

According to Zamora, San Juan recorded only five active COVID cases as of March 3, the lowest since March 12, 2020, when the city government registered 12 active cases as it started recording them.
