3 dead in Quezon knife attack

MANILA, Philippines — A man allegedly stabbed to death his mother, his sister and a neighbor in Catanauan, Quezon on Monday.

Officer-on-case S/Sgt. Michael Adao identified the victims as Rosita Lazo, 54; her daughter Rose Anne, 16, and their neighbor Kenesha Angela Allaga, 14.

Loreta Donor, 68, was wounded.

Initial investigation showed Rey Jhon Lazo, 18, who was armed with a 12-inch knife, first attacked Donor and her granddaughter Allaga at their house in Barangay Madulao.

When Lazo’s sister saw the incident, she ran home to ask for help, but the suspect followed her and stabbed her and their mother.

Lazo was arrested and charged with parricide, murder and frustrated murder.
