Guard stabs 2 teens over face mask row
MANGALDAN, Pangasinan, Philippines — Two customers of a convenience store were wounded after they were stabbed by a security guard who accosted them for not wearing face masks in this town on Saturday.
Johnray Boy Suratos and Tyrone Serafica, both 17, were taken to a hospital for treatment of stab wounds in the back and abdomen, respectively.
Security guard Reynaldo Navarro, 34, surrendered to the police, bringing with him the weapon he used in stabbing the victims.
Suratos and Serafica reportedly punched Navarro, prompting the guard to pull out a bladed weapon.
