COVID-19 cases in PNP down to 33

MANILA, Philippines — The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Philippine National Police (PNP) has dropped by 67 percent.

There are only 33 active cases among members of the police force compared to 100 in the past week, the PNP reported yesterday.

Six more PNP personnel were found infected yesterday while five have recovered from the virus.

The death toll remains at 128.

Up to 220,281 PNP members have been fully vaccinated, of whom 120,081 have received their booster shots.

Nearly 4,000 have received their first dose.

The PNP said 689 of its members remain unvaccinated, with 351 refusing to be inoculated with no valid reason.
