MANILA, Philippines — Three men were found dead, their bodies bearing marks of torture, in separate places in Quezon City yesterday.
One of the victims was found at the corner of 11th street and Broadway Avenue in Barangay Mariana at around 1 a.m., according to probers.
The victim – 5’1” in height and of heavy build – was apparently tortured, based on the wounds on his chest, police said. He also had ligature markings on his right wrist.
Probers said the victim was clad in denim pants, a black t-shirt and gray rubber shoes.
Two more men were found dead along Malasimbo street in Barangay Masambong at around 1:43 a.m.
The men had wounds on their chest and were apparently strangled, based on the ligature marks on their necks.
Two pieces of cardboard with the message “Mandurukot huwag tularan” were placed beside the victims, warning passersby that the men were purported pickpockets and not to follow their example.
Police are conducting a probe to identify the victims’ killers.
