2 civilians, cop wounded in shooting over online game

COTABATO CITY, Philippines — Two civilians and a policeman were wounded while 11 others were arrested following a shooting incident reportedly sparked by a misunderstanding over a P15,000 bet between two groups playing online game Mobile Legends in this city on Tuesday night.

Motorcycle-riding men shot Hubert Concepcion and Fitzgerald Patagan as they played the game in their cellular phones in front of their rented house in Barangay Rosary Heights 9.

The suspects were competitors of the victims, according to their neighbors.

Maj. Elixon Bona of the Cotabato City police was wounded when he and his men were reportedly attacked by the cohorts of the suspects when they responded to the incident.
