Pasig rewards drug informants
MANILA, Philippines — The Pasig government has given around P100,000 in cash to informants and personnel for their help in the city’s anti-drug campaign.
Mayor Vico Sotto, in a Facebook post on Wednesday, said 26 drug assets received P3,000 each for the information they provided, which led to accomplishments in anti-narcotics operations.
Two other informants received P8,000 each.
Sotto said the cash incentives were based on the information gathered by the informants.
Two employees of the city’s Anti-Drug Abuse Office were rewarded with P3,000 each.
Sotto also led the opening of the city government’s drug testing clinic in Barangay Sagad.
The mobile clinic will also administer COVID-19 vaccines, he said.
