MANILA, Philippines — Forty-eight bedridden residents in Navotas on Tuesday received their booster doses of the COVID-19 vaccine in the comfort of their homes.
The residents of Barangays Tanza 1 and 2 as well as Tangos North and South received AstraZeneca booster shots, according to the city government.
The local government also gave them five kilos of rice and chicken.
Bedridden residents may register through their respective barangays or send a message to Navoteño Ako Facebook page.
Mayor Toby Tiangco encouraged the parents of children aged five to 11 to register them for pediatric vaccination.
Minors who receive Pfizer vaccines will be given McDonald’s meals.
As of Tuesday, the city government had administered reformulated Pfizer vaccines to 3,212 children.
