MANILA, Philippines — A total of 2,614 aspiring police officers passed the Philippine National Police (PNP) entrance examinations held in November and December last year.
In a statement over the weekend, National Police Commission (Napolcom) vice chairman and executive officer Vitaliano Aguirre II said the passers represent 13.71 percent of the 19,063 examinees who took the test from Nov. 26 to Nov. 28 and Dec. 18 to Dec. 19, 2021.
Aguirre said 1,531 examinees or 30.84 percent of the 4,963 police officers have passed the promotional examinations.
“The Napolcom delivered in its commitment to the Department of Budget and Management to make available the examination results within 45 working days from the date of the examinations,” Aguirre said.
Passing the PNP examination is one of the requirements for appointment in the police force as patrolmen and patrolwomen. The promotional exam is needed for promotion to a higher rank.
The list of successful examinees will be posted at the Napolcom central office in Quezon City and can be viewed at the agency’s website www.napolcom.gov.ph and official Facebook page @NationalPoliceCommission.
