MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) has turned over a P10.9-million bridge project to residents of Norala town in South Cotabato to help farmers transport their produce faster to trade centers and markets.
The Purok Manga Bridge Project, covering 22.8 linear meters, will connect Barangay San Jose to the villages of Lapuz, Matagol and Liberty.
The project will benefit around 6,000 residents of Barangay San Jose, the DAR said.
It was implemented under the Tulay ng Pangulo para sa Kaunlarang Pang-agraryo, in partnership with the Department of Public Works and Highways and the municipal government of Norala.
