MANILA, Philippines — Police arrested four men for carrying 508 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu with a street value of P3.45 million in Muntinlupa City on Friday.
Marco Anthony Panibe, 30; Romnick Misloso, 22; Ernesto Landong Jr., 25, and Dreyven Aubrey Vilasco, 21, were arrested by operatives of the Southern Police District during a sting in Barangay Poblacion at around 8:20 p.m.
The suspects allegedly negotiated a deal with a policeman posing as a drug buyer for P5,000 worth of shabu, said Metro Manila police director Maj. Gen. Vicente Danao Jr.
Police are preparing charges against the suspects for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
In Pasig, Johary Basman, 29, was arrested during a drug bust yesterday.
Police confiscated 14.7 grams of shabu worth P99,960 and a .22 caliber pistol loaded with six bullets from Basman, who was apprehended along Baltazar street in Barangay Pinagbuhatan at around 12:30 a.m., Pasig police chief Col. Roman Arugay said in a report.
