2 teens drown in lake

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — Two high school students drowned as they were swimming in a lake in Tadian, Mountain Province on Sunday afternoon.

Flander Tipac and Wilmar Padongay, both 13 years old, went to the Gawaan Lake in Barangay Bana-ao at around 3 p.m.

The bodies of the boys were found floating four hours later.

Meanwhile, in Pangasinan, a farmer drowned in an irrigation canal in Umingan town on Sunday.

Gino Rigolo, who was reportedly drunk, failed to go home the night before the incident that occurred in Barangay Flores, police said.
