MANILA, Philippines — More local destinations no longer require a negative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction or antigen test for fully vaccinated persons.

Budget carrier Cebu Pacific said there are 19 domestic destinations in its network that have reopened to tourists and eased travel restrictions.

These are Bohol, Boracay, Butuan, Camiguin, Cagayan de Oro, Clark, Maguindanao, Davao, Dumaguete, General Santos, Iloilo, Legazpi, Manila, Naga, Ozamiz, San Jose, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, Cebu province, Cebu City and Mandaue.

“This is a welcome development. We appreciate the effort of various LGUs (local government units) to further ease travel for every Juan, especially for fully vaccinated individuals,” Cebu Pacific chief commercial officer Xander Lao said.

He said the easing of travel restrictions would jumpstart the return of tourists and pave the way for the recovery of the local tourism industry.

Butuan and Cagayan de Oro require fully vaccinated travelers to only upload their vaccination status via S-Pass.

Fully vaccinated passengers arriving at Legazpi airport must report to the LGU for symptoms screening and profiling. Visitors should also download contact tracing app Traze.

Clark requires travelers to present a valid ID and any travel document required by the LGU.

Cebu province, Lapu-Lapu and Davao do not require fully vaccinated guests to present any travel document.

A person is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after receiving a single-dose vaccine or the second shot in a two-dose series.

Cebu Pacific urged travelers to always check with the LGU of their destination for updates on travel requirements.
