MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Immigration has increased its operational capacity to 80 percent at BI offices in Metro Manila in preparation for the expected influx of foreign tourists beginning Feb. 10.

Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente said BI offices in the National Capital Region would operate from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily under Alert Level 2.

Morente said fully vaccinated clients are no longer required to secure slots through the bureau’s online appointment system.

“They just need to present their vaccination cards before transacting business with the BI,” he said.

Foreign citizens who intend to file their annual report at the BI central office in Intramuros, Manila are still required to apply for slots through online appointment, Morente said.
