Makati gets DILG’s good financial housekeeping seal

DILG National Capital Region head Maria Lourdes Agustin informed Mayor Abigal Binay in a letter dated Jan. 11 that Makati is among the local government units (LGUs) awarded the GFH certification.
“We commend the efforts and the commitment of the city government in passing the reporting guidelines of COA (Commission on Audit) and FDP (full disclosure policy),” she said.
Binay said the DILG’s certification validated the efforts of the local government to ensure transparency and accountability in spending public funds.
Apart from Makati, the cities of Las Piñas and Muntinlupa also received the same award.
